In this video, I give you a quick introduction of MS Access and the excel file I will be using to create the MS Access database so you can follow along.
NOTE: Enlarge Video and make sure you watch it in 1080p (HD) mode to see video clearly.
MS Access is a relational database whereas MS Excel is a flat-file. Think of an excel file, you can input orders in the file, but sometimes you have repeat customers and it can be difficult to track your sales. In addition, you may have multiple users that need to update an excel file, but it is locked while being used by someone else. MS Access allows you to create a relational method for tracking orders and you only need to input the customer data one time. It also allows multiple people to access the database file at the same time.

NOTE: I’m using MS Access 2019, as long as you have MS Access 2007 or newer or even Office 365, you’ll be able to follow along pretty easily. Also, make sure to view the video in HD, sometimes youtube shows it in SD format and you should enlarge the video to see more clearly.
